PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- All year, MANNA provides meals for people with chronic illnesses, so of course, that mission continues on Thanksgiving.

For this holiday, their loading dock is full of bags with delicious meals inside.

MANNA chefs and volunteers started bright and early at 5 a.m. on Thursday.

This year, they are providing more than 2,500 Thanksgiving meals with turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes -- all packed up with love.

The 200 volunteers then deliver the meals to more than 700 of MANNA's critically ill clients and their families.

"Tomorrow, we will start getting messages -- we get so many messages -- we get so many cards of clients who just say 'thank you for showing up for me,'" said Sue Daugherty, the CEO of MANNA.
