A 30-year-old man walking across the freeway early Wednesday morning died after being hit by a car, prompting hours-long delays throughout the area.
The victim was walking from the right shoulder to the left shoulder on I-5 near Yesler Way, according to KIRO 7 .
The pedestrian was struck by a 48-year-old driver in oncoming traffic, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
