A venture out to get some marijuana in Tobago has reportedly cost an American man his life, authorities say.
Homicide cops in Trinidad and Tobago are investigating after Christopher Brown, 43, of Silvertorne, Colo., was found dead in Castara, a small fishing village in Tobago.
Brown is Tobago’s ninth recorded homicide of the year, the Trinidad Daily Express reported.
Cops say Brown was having dinner and drinks with friends on Wednesday night in Castara. He reportedly told his pals he was going to take off to buy some marijuana.
Brown was found unresponsive just after 10:30 p.m. on Depot Rd. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say Brown was stabbed after finding several wounds on his body, along with a knife sticking out of his back, reported the Daily Express
