1CHICAGO, IL – A 35-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a 42-year-old man earlier this year on the city’s South Side, police announced Thursday.

According to the Chicago Police Department, Desmond Anderson of the 900 block of East 104th Street was arrested on November 25 by members of the CPD and the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Anderson was taken into custody around 12:30 p.m. in the 10400 block of South Maryland Avenue.

Suspect linked to September homicide

Investigators identified Anderson as the offender in the September 6 shooting that left a man dead in the 300 block of West 93rd Street in the 6th District.
