HOHENWALD, Tenn. (WSMV) - One of the oldest living elephants at Tennessee’s Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald died at the age of 59.
Minnie, who was part of the sanctuary’s herd for nearly 20 years, was humanely euthanized after symptoms of Kidney disease began to worsen, The Elephant Sanctuary announced.

Care Staff began to notice signs of decline, including weakness and lack of appetite, in recent weeks.
