A pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle last Friday night in Southwood has now died from her injuries, Calgary police say.

This marks the 14th pedestrian fatality in 2025.

The collision happened around 9:15 p.m. on Nov. 21.

Police say a woman in her 30s was crossing Macleod Trail outside of the marked crosswalk, south of the 99th Avenue SW intersection.

A 30-year-old woman travelling south on Macleod Trail had a green light when she drove through the intersection and struck the pedestrian.

The driver remained on scene. Police say they do not believe she was speeding or impaired.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. She died on Wednesday.
