Call it fate. In 2023, Amy Stegeman contacted Florida-based author and stylist Fifi O’Neill about the possibility of photographing her home for a coffee table book.

After meeting on a shoot at her house in 2024, the pair discovered a mutual love of animals. O’Neill had published “Rescue Me — Love Stories of Humans and the Animals They Saved, ” to raise money for animal shelters in 2018, and Stegeman had filed for nonprofit designation for the Cat Coop, a Pennsylvania shelter she built and continues to operate together with her daughter, Lauren. Amy’s other daughter, Sarah, also operates a farm animal sanctuary.
