One person was killed and another critically injured in a wreck on I-65 in Limestone County on Thursday morning.
Alabama State Troopers say the wreck happened shortly after 10:45 a.m. on I-65 near mile marker 358.
According to Limestone County Coroner Mike West, a woman was killed when she was traveling southbound on I-65 and was struck by another vehicle. A passenger inside the car was critically injured and had to be flown to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.
The wreck shutdown southbound lanes while emergency crews responded to the scene. State Troopers with ALEA's Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the wreck.
