Two years after they went to Ford Field and jump-started their late-season run to the playoffs, the Green Bay Packers spent another Thanksgiving in Detroit — and delivered an arguably even more impressive performance in Thursday’s 31-24 victory over the Detroit Lions.
The win improved the Packers to 8-3-1 on the season and could put them in first place in the NFC North if the defending Super Bowl-champion Philadelphia Eagles can beat the division-leading Chicago Bears (8-3) in their Black Friday matchup.
The Lions fell to 7-5.
