Entering Thursday, the Lions quarterback had already been dealt a bad hand. His starting center, Graham Glasgow, was out. So was Brock Wright, the tight end who had moved up the depth chart to fill Sam LaPorta’s spot. Then, on the first play of the Lions’ second drive, Goff’s No. 1 target – star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown – exited the game with an ankle injury and never returned.
