TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Deer gun season runs from Dec. 1 through Dec. 7, but deer bow season remains in effect until February. There is an efficient way hunters can recover their deer that get away, and the recovery process involves drones.
Northwest Ohio (NWO) Drone Service is entering into its third season of deer recovery using thermal technology.
“The thermal technology picks up heat differences as we are looking at the ground surfaces. [...] We can find that heat source and then switch over to the color camera and zoom in to see for sure if that is the deer we are looking for or if it is just another live deer in the woods,” says Bob Daniel, owner of NWO Drone Service.
This service is available 24 hours a day and the service coverage is all over Northwest Ohio. It is just not legal
