The search is on for a vehicle and its driver following a “suspicious incident” involving a child in Weston on Tuesday afternoon.
Toronto Police say a child was walking home from school in the area of Church St. and Grattan St. – near Weston Rd. and Lawrence Ave. W. – around 3 p.m. when an unknown male driving a sedan stopped and got out of the vehicle.
The man allegedly asked the child if they wanted a ride home and when the child declined, he got back into the car and drove away.
The vehicle is described as a blue, older model (possibly 2007-2008) Volkswagen Passat with no front plate.
The person of interest is described as a brown man, approximately 5-foot-9, and about 150 pounds, with a slim build, short black hair, and clean shaven.
