MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -Volunteers with NewBridge Madison delivered 300 Thanksgiving meals to older adults in the Madison area on Thursday.
NewBridge Madison partnered with Door Creek Church and Melly Mel’s Soul Food to make the meals possible.
Over forty volunteers helped with the meal delivery. Many of the older adults who received the meals are food insecure and homebound.
David Wilson with NewBridge Madison said he loves be a part of this experience.
“We’ve been doing this for years,” said Wilson. “It’s really what Thanksgiving is all about, giving back to the community. It’s not just about you eating a lot of food. It’s about helping others.”
