Master Trooper Casey Wallace pointed to Troop E’s arrest numbers from 2024, saying there was a noticeable spike in DWI arrests between the Wednesday before Thanksgiving till the Sunday after.
“It actually increases about 30% during those times,” Wallace said.
Troop E recorded 23 property and injury crashes and 12 impaired driving arrests during 2024’s Thanksgiving period.
