SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
On Thanksgiving Day in Sacramento, volunteers from Seva self-service and Khalsa Aid continued their yearly tradition of giving back to the community, offering warmth and kindness to those in need.
"We drove from Yuba City today. Some of our volunteers did," said Jetender Johal, from Seva Self Service. "We've never missed a Thursday. Rain or shine, we're always there."
More than 200 people received warm blankets and warm words, leaving a bit more thankful. Herman Singh from Khalsa Aid shared his lifelong commitment to volunteering, saying, "I've been volunteering since I've been a kid, whether it be this organization or another one. My parents have always taught me to give back to society."
The Thanksgiving drive started at 11 a.m. at the corner of Ahern St. & North
