Driver injured after crashing into retention pond in Bolivar, Mo.

BOLIVAR, Mo. (KY3) - A driver suffered serious injuries after crashing into a retention pond south of Bolivar.

Officers responded to the single-car crash in the area of Missouri 13 and South 131st Road on Thursday around 4:30 p.m. Crews rescued the driver from the water.

This crash is under investigation. Central Polk County Fire Protection District, Morrisville Fire Protection District, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and Polk County Sheriff’s Office provided mutual aid.
