A suspect who struggled with officers was arrested Thursday in the stabbing of a man who suffered a cut to his arm in the East Village neighborhood, officials said.
The victim said he was leaving the San Diego High School stadium parking lot in the 1300 block of Park Boulevard just before 8 a.m. Thursday "when he was confronted by an individual who attempted to stab him," according to the San Diego Police Department.
The victim — who suffered a 1-inch cut to his upper left arm — described the assailant as a white male in his 50s, wearing a baseball hat, black jacket and shorts, the SDPD said.
Officers found a possible suspect at 1600 C St., "and observed a knife sticking out of his pants pocket," according to the SDPD.
