The Kansas City Chiefs are not only on the outside of the AFC playoff picture after Thursday's 31-28 loss to the Dallas Cowboys , their playoff chances have dipped below 50% for the first time this season. They probably need to go, at least, 4-1 over their remaining five games to have even a realistic chance, and even then they might need some help. Their margin for error is almost non-existent.
Given the way the season has gone there is not much evidence to suggest they are just going to flip some sort of magical switch and just start playing like the yearly Super Bowl contenders they have been since the arrival of Patrick Mahomes.
It might take a Herculean effort from Mahomes to get this team in the playoffs. He might be the only person capable of it because everything else regar
