SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - One NAIA women’s basketball team is outperforming the rest of the GPAC conference early on.

Dordt is 7-0 through the first month of the season averaging 82 points per game in their 7-0 start.

In their first week of conference play they racked up three wins.

Mount Marty, Hastings, and Northwestern.

The Red Raiders were their toughest test to date, with the Defenders coming out on top 73-71.

Dordt women’s basketball coach Bill Harmsen said, “Playing John Brown and Viterbo and Grand View, all good teams. Dakota State battle was really tough but then the conference takes care of the rest. Couldn’t be better with the schedule at this point.”
