CHARLESTON, W.Va . (WSAZ) - As your pets beg for your Thanksgiving food, cats and dogs hope they can snatch something delicious right off your plate or floor. However, many of those foods that will be served are a danger to your dogs and cats.

“I have a feeling that ER’s will be very busy this weekend with mainly pancreatitis or toxicity that could affect the livers and kidneys,” Veterinarian and owner of Merritts Creek Veterinary Clinic Dr. Jacqueline Chevalier said.

Dr. Chevalier says the worst Thanksgiving foods to give your pets are onions, nuts, grapes, turkey skin and bones that is seasoned or cooked pies and fatty foods.
