Meghan Markle has been brutally nicknamed “Salmonella Sussex” after social media users pointed out a major hygiene error in the Duchess of Sussex's latest social media post. Meghan shared her Thanksgiving preparations with her fans, which included a video of her seasoning a turkey .

She can be seen stuffing the bird before applying pepper and herbs and grating a little citrus zest on the turkey, which sits on a large ovenproof dish. The video did not go down well with fans online, as they quickly noted that Meghan left her jewellery on while handling the raw turkey.

One person wrote: “So gross, and it's basic food handling knowledge. Proof she has no idea what she's doing."
