Pompey, NY - A state appellate court ruled last week Heritage Hills Brewhouse can go ahead with plans to add a meat processing plant and expand its brewery.

But the victory is hard for owner Dan Palladino to swallow.

The legal fight brought by some neighbors upset over the expansion lasted two years. In that time, Palladino says, his investors have moved on to other opportunities, and the plans to expand are dead.

“Unfortunately the delays caused by the lawsuit and appeal resulted in the loss of the expansion opportunity for us,” Palladino told syracuse.com | The Post-Standard.

Palladino first announced plans to expand in 2023. The idea was to construct a meat processing building next door to its existing brewhouse and restaurant. The town planning board approved the plans.
