Police in Ocean County are searching for a man who allegedly stabbed a woman in an apartment late on Thanksgiving night.

Jackson Township police said Jaden Thompson allegedly stabbed the woman in the abdomen at the Paragon Apartments off Larsen Road around 11:36 p.m. Thursday.

Thompson is wanted on charges of first-degree attempted murder and other offenses, Jackson Township police said. Authorities did not release more information about Thompson, such as his age and town of residency.

Police responded to the apartment and found the woman being treated by a family member, who told authorities that Thompson stabbed her before fleeing the area. Additional officers searching the area were unable to locate him but learned he left the apartment complex in a black Nissan sedan, police said.
