WARREN A white Howland box truck was stolen and later involved in a police pursuit on Sunday afternoon, according to the Warren Township Police Department.
According to police, the incident began when an officer attempted to stop the truck near the intersection of Highland Avenue Southwest and 6th Street. During the pursuit, the stolen vehicle struck the police patrol car, causing the officer's airbags to deploy.
After the collision, police reported that the driver exited the truck and fled the scene on foot.
The identity and description of the driver remain unknown at this time. The officer involved is in stable condition with minor injuries.
