ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Police said a man was shot while walking in a southwest Atlanta neighborhood over the weekend.

On Saturday, police were called to Grady Memorial Hospital regarding a gunshot victim.

The man reportedly told investigators he was walking in the area of 1082 Lucile Avenue SW when he heard a gunshot, then realized he’d been hit, according to police.

He was taken to Grady by private vehicle to be treated for a single gunshot wound, police said.

Investigators are working to learn more about the shooting. Further details, including when the man was shot or if police have identified suspects, were not released.
