NEW ORLEANS — A woman was killed and two others were injured after a shooting in Central City Sunday night, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
NOPD and the City of New Orleans issued a statement:
At 5:17 p.m. police said the woman was shot in the in the 2700 block of Magnolia Street. Officers said she was shot at least one time, but later died at the scene due to her injuries. NOPD said she was 26 years old.
"Officers assigned to the second line heard gunshots," said NOPD Public Information Officer Reese Harper. "They responded to the area, they located three victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to their body," he said.
Then around 6:10 p.m. NOPD identified another shooting victim as a 16-year-old boy. Police said a 29-year-old man was also injured. Both victims
