Justin Herbert threw for 151 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday in the Chargers ’ 31-14 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
He also broke his non-throwing hand during the game.
Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters that the quarterback suffered a fracture in his left hand. Herbert will undergo surgery on Monday.
Despite the injury, Harbaugh wasn’t sure if Herbert would miss any time and noted he’d see how this week goes.
Herbert suffered the injury in the first half of the game during a 1-yard scramble. Jeremy Chinn brought the quarterback to the ground and Herbert’s hand hit the turf hard. He went to the locker room briefly, missed eight plays and returned with a glove on his left hand .
Overall, Herbert went 15-of-20 for 151 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.
