COHASSET, Calif. - Butte County CAL FIRE is responding to a vegetation fire on the 100 block of Sleepy Valley Road. The fire began when someone ignited a pile of cut trees and lost control of the flames.

According to Butte County CAL FIRE, the person contacted the station, which then alerted the command center.

Upon arrival, officials found a 50-by-50-foot pile of various sizes of cut trees burning.
