HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Deputies told KHOU 11 News they discovered a suspected rooster-fighting and gambling operation Sunday evening in northwest Harris County after responding to an anonymous tip.

Deputies responded to Little York Road near Aldine Westfield Road and found roughly 100 roosters on the property, with a few dead and most alive. When authorities got there, people at the scene scattered, but deputies were able to detain four people.

No additional details have been released regarding charges or the condition of those detained. The investigation is ongoing.
