A traffic stop in Elliot Lake turned up more than $15,000 in cash and suspected cocaine.
A passenger was seen with a grinder and cannabis when a vehicle was pulled over on Ontario Avenue for a traffic infraction last Friday, Ontario Provincial Police say.

More than 130 grams of cocaine, with a street value of about $13,000, nearly $3,000 in cash, numerous cellphones and suspected cannabis were seized.
Heiko Schmitz, 54, of Elliot Lake, was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
