A man was arrested on suspicion of killing his 70-year-old father Sunday, Nov. 30, near Perris.

Deputies responded around 4:15 a.m. to the 20000 block of Clark Street, near Rider Street and west of the 215 Freeway, in Mead Valley, an unincorporated community.

Angel Gonzalez was found there unresponsive, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department statement. Authorities attempted life-saving measures before he was pronounced dead.

Juan Gonzalez, 47, of Mead Valley was arrested on suspicion of murder.

No further information was immediately available. The investigation was ongoing.
