A construction site in Glasgow south side has been slammed by locals who say they are 'traumatised' by the ongoing disturbance, described as 'War of the Worlds'. Concerns have been raised over a new block of luxury flats in the residential area, which people already living there believe will 'dwarf their neighbourhood'.

Property giant Cala Homes recently began building a six-storey block of luxury flats including penthouses off Inverlair Avenue in Cathcart , which are to be sold for £211,00 to £380,000 upon their completion.

But many of the area's locals are outraged at the disturbance of the construction's noise and how their community will be affected by the new buildings.
