SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio man was arrested Saturday night after police say he threatened to kill his roommate, sparking a nearly seven-hour standoff on the west side.

San Antonio police were called to the home on Cincinnati Avenue near St. Mary’s University around 3 p.m. after a report of a disturbance involving a gun.

When officers arrived, a victim told them his roommate, identified as 52-year-old Bobby Rocha, pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him.

The victim told officers the confrontation began after he accidentally let Rocha’s pets outside.

Police said Rocha refused to leave the home and barricaded himself inside.

A neighbor who witnessed the commotion told KENS 5 he returned home to what felt like a “war zone,” adding he initially feared someone had been killed.
