Animals experience emotions just as humans do, and in many cases their feelings run even deeper than ours. Because of this, it is especially devastating when someone abandons a companion animal, leaving them confused, frightened, and alone.

A passerby in the Bronx, New York, witnessed a heartbreaking scene when she spotted a tiny head poking out of a bag that was dangling from a dumpster. What she found inside left her stunned.

A Terrible Discovery

The woman approached the dumpster with growing concern, uncertain of what she would find. As she got closer, she realized that the small face staring back at her belonged to a ferret.
