The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has outlined three financial support schemes for pensioners that could potentially be worth up to £875. The department is reminding people: "As the weather gets colder, you could get help with your bills".
A post on X, formerly Twitter , outlines three ways people can receive support, explaining "three benefits you could qualify for". The first of these is the Winter Fuel Payment, a tax-free sum of £100-300, paid automatically to people born on or before September 22, 1959. The cash is aimed at helping with heating costs.
There is also the Warm Home Discount. This is a £150 discount off your electricity bill, and those eligible will have the money taken off by their energ
