Music echoes through the building as volunteers of all ages form an assembly line to sort and package food for their neighbors in need at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. Meanwhile, across town at The Homeless Alliance, the unhoused are fed warm meals by smiling volunteers. Even farther down the road at OKC Animal Welfare, dogs bark and dance with excitement as volunteers arrive to walk them, clean their kennels and more.

All of these organizations depend on help from volunteers to achieve their missions.

"So if you start to come in and get involved where your community is struggling, then you can kind of get a mindset of how can we fix this in the future?" said Tina Haven, volunteer coordinator for OKC Animal Welfare.
