A Polk City paramedic is suing the city after she was fired for Facebook posts about conservative leader Charlie Kirk’s assassination .

The lawsuit, filed Nov. 18 in Polk County, is the latest in a wave of litigation across Iowa and the U.S. after public employees were disciplined for online comments about Kirk, the founder of the right-wing organization Turning Point USA who was fatally shot during a public speech on Sept. 10 in Orem, Utah .
