KEMAH, Texas – Authorities are searching for a man who called the Kemah Police Department and made several bomb threats over the weekend.
On Sunday, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office said a man called the Kemah Police Department and said there were several bombs planted inside a Walmart on FM 518 and Highway 146.
The man allegedly asked for $10,000 or threatened to detonate the bombs.
Walmart was immediately evacuated while officers and bomb squads searched the building.
Although no bombs were found, this incident disrupted one of the busiest weekends for the store.
