A former Labour councillor charged with blackmailing an ex-Conservative MP as part of an investigation into an alleged Westminster honeypot has appeared in court.
Oliver Steadman appeared at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, December 1.
The 28-year-old is charged with one count of blackmail and five charges of improper use of a public electronic communications network.
He was not required to enter any pleas to the charges during a short hearing.
Steadman was charged as part of an investigation into an alleged Westminster honeypot.
