A well-known Edinburgh pub that has become an 'institution' has been brought to market. The Harp and Castle on Leith Walk is currently up for sale, with sellers accepting offers over £800,000.
The local boozer first opened as The Tommy Younger Bar, named after the legendary Hibs goalkeeper. Current owner Richard Currie took over 26 years ago, changing the name.
It has a 'loyal following', with opportunities for growth. The Harp and Castle boasts a 'warm and inviting' atmosphere, with seating for up to 200 punters and outdoor space that can hold up to 30 people.
Current owner, Richard commented: "We'd like to say a big thank you to all customers past and present. Without you, the pub wouldn’t have been such a success!"
