Attendance Allowance payments issued by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) are set to end for pensioners living in Scotland before the end of this month. Pension Age Disability Payments (PADP) is replacing the benefit for all 155,210 existing claimants and everyone should have received a letter informing them of the case transfer by now.
Social Security Scotland will administer and deliver PADP and recently said: “Anyone who is still getting Attendance Allowance from the Department for Work and Pensions and has not received a letter to say their benefit is transferring to Pension Age Disability Payment should get in touch with us.”
