Iconic artworks have been given a contemporary twist to depict how the subjects would appear if they were painted in today's era. The Mona Lisa , Girl with a Pearl Earring and The Birth of Venus have been reimagined using some of the most popular beauty trends from the past 30 years.
The project saw The Birth of Venus, crafted by Sandro Botticelli in the 1480s, receive a classic 1990s makeover, complete with body glitter, nail art and the iconic small butterfly clips in her hair. Meanwhile, Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa was transported into the early 2000s, with skinny brows, chunky highlights and frosted eyesh
