BIG TIMBER, Mont. - A Hardin man was killed in a crash on I-90 Eastbound near mile marker 369 on Saturday at around 5:21 p.m., according to Montana Highway Patrol.

The 74-year-old man's car was stopped in the middle of the driving lane after breaking down, MHP said.

Another driver heading eastbound attempted to slow down, but ultimately rear-ended the man and pushed his car off the roadway.

The 74-year-old was transported to the hospital, but died as a result of his injuries.

MHP said drugs are suspected factors in the crash, and that snow was packed on the roadway.
