SAN ANTONIO — A fire Sunday morning caused significant damage to Grace Fellowship Baptist Church, the same location where Rivers of Hope Ministries operates its H.O.P.E. Food Pantry.
Because of the extent of the damage and uncertainty about when the facility will be usable again, the ministry says it will be closed “for the foreseeable future” while leaders regroup and determine their next steps.
Despite the setback, Rivers of Hope Ministries says an emergency food distribution will still take place Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the church’s address located at 7804 Eckhert Road on the west side of town.

Organizers say all food must go and distribution will continue until supplies run out.
