The Metropolitan Transportation Authority on Sunday shared additional opportunities for the public who live in bus-reliant areas to transfer MetroCard balances to the contactless OMNY Tap and Ride system.

This comes as the MTA transitions to the OMNY system from MetroCards, where the latter will be phased out on Dec. 31.

To supplement the recently announced opening of 15 additional Customer Service Centers, the MTA is making available a fleet of mobile sales vehicles that will operate in all five boroughs and Westchester on select days each week.
