Santa decided to forgo his usual mode of transport as Rudolph and the rest of his reindeer take a well deserved break before they hop into action for a busy Christmas Even schedule. Instead of a reindeer-led sleigh, Santa arrived on the North Quay on board the Arklow RNLI Lifeboat, with a large crowd of eager children waiting to greet him on the quay.
Santa then travelled by horse and carriage to the Bridgewater, where he was met by Cindy Lou, and managed to thwart any efforts on behalf of the Grinch to spoil Christmas. Santa went on to hear from local boys and girls as he gently inquired over what gifts they would be hoping for under the tree this Xmas.
