Winter is the season for comfort food cooking , whether that comes in the form of steaming hot pie, your favourite pasta dish, or hearty soup. If your winter dishes are lacking a depth of flavour, Irish chef and author Clodagh McKenna revealed a secret ingredient everyone should be adding.
In a recent appearance on ITV’s This Morning , Clodagh shared the secret ingredient she uses in a whole range of dishes. As she recreated her beef bourguignon recipe for hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard , Clodagh explained that she uses dark chocolate for an extra flavour dimension. She said it works particularly well with stews and ragus.
