Fort Worth lives up to its nickname of ‘Panther City’ this week when it hosts the Metroplex Meows Cat Club show.
“It’s just a lot of fun to go and compete with your cats, and they have fun, too. The cats get to play, and they are in their limelight for sure,” said Tanya Endicott, who breeds, sells and shows Maine Coon Cats in North Texas.
She’s won multiple awards and titles for cats that are as big in personality as they are in size. On average, they weigh between 10-25 pounds, with males generally being larger than females.
“The Maine Coon cats are the biggest domestic cat breed in the world. And they are kind. They’re sweet. They’re just gentle giants,” said Endicott’s daughter Rylee Pierce, 9, who’s part of the family business Regulus Night Sky Maine Coons.
