Las Cruces volleyball's Caleigh Garcia has been voted as the Las Cruces Sun-News El Paso Children's Hospital Athlete of the Week for Nov. 17-22. She has won the honor in consecutive weeks after winning it for the week of Nov. 10-15.

Garcia was one of five football and volleyball nominees from Las Cruces High. Fellow nominees included Las Cruces football's Daniel Amaro, Josiah Gutierrez and Carlos Gamboa and Las Cruces volleyball's Addison Massey.

Garcia collected 7,382 total votes to win. Amaro finished second with 4,382 votes.

Garcia was voted as the Red Team's Star of the Match at the 5A Red-Green match for New Mexico. She earned a spot in the game due to her performances for the Bulldawgs this past season, as she played a key role in a third straight 5A state championship by leading
