Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is in some hot water after a new report revealed disturbing details behind the controversial military strikes in the Caribbean in September.

The Washington Post reported that Hegseth gave a spoken order to leave no survivors in a Sept. 2 military strike on an alleged drug boat in the Caribbean. According to the report, the Special Operations commander overseeing the attack ordered a second strike that killed two survivors in the water.

Now, Hegseth is facing some intense backlash despite describing the report as “fake news” in a statement. A reporter asked President Donald Trump about the controversy surrounding Hegseth and the military strikes on Sunday.
